This article describes the booking workflow with credit card payment, using the Authorize & Capture method. By using Authorize & Capture, users and administrators benefit from an efficient and transparent booking and billing process.
💳 Booking workflow with credit card payment and Authorize & Capture
- A user creates a reservation in the app or via desktop view.
- The reservation is created in the system and appears at https://....zemtu.com/admin/main/reservation/
- Within 24 hours before the start of the reservation, the system checks if the estimated fee is available on the user's credit/debit card. Then we place a hold on the user's card for the estimated fees for 2 weeks.
At the same time, a meta payment is created in the administration. https://....zemtu.com/admin/billing/metapayment/
- Start a reservation, drive and end the reservation. After the trip has been completed, the user is redirected to the summary. Here he can see the miles driven, the time and the actual costs.
- The capturing of the total amount takes place 24 hours later. Why 24 hours? If there is a change, the administrator can intervene in this time slot.
